Who We are

We are an organisation operating an all-inclusive group funeral benefit scheme where members contribute to a fund which is accessible upon the death of an enrolled member.  As a membership - owned scheme with an objective of helping and supporting family and relatives experiencing bereavement, we understand that a family needs someone to turn to in a moment’s notice, since death occurs suddenly.

The Scheme

The scheme is governed by the Board of Trustees appointed by members, administered by United Pension Trustees and the risk underwritten by Vanguard Life Assurance. Both companies are renowned, well-established and distinguished players in the non – banking financial sector. Funeral Planning can be overwhelmingly stressful, financially burdensome and too much work. Let us help you by taking away and handling all your stress, worry and financial burdens associated with the planning and organization of funerals.

We are here to provide a one-stop shop for all your funeral needs which is just a phone call away with a pittance as monthly contributions. United Funeral Trust is committed to helping you design a funeral that will be meaningful to you and your family while ensuring that a family’s emotional, spiritual and financial expectations are respected, met, honored and exceeded. The family may choose a large formal funeral or a small private ceremony from any of the options we have to offer. Whatever the desire, we are committed to meeting your unique needs in a personal and professional manner. “we will take that load onto our shoulders.”

Together We Care

The package encompasses complete service from day of death through mortuary to undertaking, burial and post-burial final funeral rites for enrolled members; Casket, Obituary posters, Order of Service booklets, chairs, Tables, Marquees, Canopies, Cocktail stands, Chaffing dishes, Public Address System, Music, Refreshment, DVD’s of video coverage and still photographs and in addition we offer a cash donation (“nsawa”) to the contributor or his next of kin if the contributing enrolled member happens to be the deceased.
